As part of CivicArt’s local activities, young participants from Kremenchuk presented “Our Shared City. Stories About Places, People and Their Interactions” — a photo exhibition that grew directly out of the Spring Art Labs series.
What made this project distinctive was the process behind it. Over four preparatory sessions, the participants took full ownership of the exhibition: they developed the concept, chose the name, selected photographs, wrote their own stories to accompany the images, learned about print requirements, chose a printing house, created promotional materials, and planned the opening event. The result was not just a creative showcase, but a hands-on experience of planning and delivering a real cultural event.
The opening took place in an open community space that combined photography viewing with informal conversation and interactive activities. Visitors could explore the authors’ stories, take part in creative activity stations, learn about international opportunities for young people, and share their own thoughts about Kremenchuk — its strengths and its potential for development.
The exhibition created a space for dialogue between young people and the wider community, fostering civic participation, local identity, and a sense of shared responsibility for the urban environment.

How can you feel the rhythm of a city and turn it into art? That’s the question UNMUTE set out to answer during two days
