CivicArt Project officially started

December 25, 2024

We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of the “CivicArt” Project, which brings together artists, youth workers, and educators from Ukraine, Georgia, Germany, and Spain to create innovative art-based educational initiatives. The first part of the kick-off meeting took place online on December 19-20, 2024.

During this meeting, the project partners discussed the key objectives, deliverables, roles, and upcoming tasks for the next two years. The “CivicArt” project focuses on strengthening youth organizations in Ukraine and Georgia through civic education and artivism. The team explored various aspects of the project, including an analysis of European best practices, the development of a methodology guide, training sessions, and the establishment of a Civic Art Alliance network.

The first day covered the project’s strengths, such as its potential for collaboration, and addressed challenges in Ukraine and Georgia. Partners also defined their roles, established communication tools, and made key decisions about the creation of an Advisory Board, project branding, and communication strategy and quality assurance plan. Additionally, they set action items for the next steps, including finalizing the needs assessment and preparing for a study visit in March 2025.
