The CivicArt team has prepared a collection of good practices in artivism, which we invite you to explore in the CivicArt Library.
This is more than just a description of methods: it is an in-depth analysis of how art can serve as a tool for civic education. The materials were gathered through an open call, selected by experts, and adapted to the educational realities of Ukraine and Georgia in 2025. The manual shows that art leaves traces not only in our consciousness but also in our subconscious, influencing communities and societies in meaningful ways.
The collection presents 22 practical examples, structured around four key missions:
Environment — raising awareness of urgent ecological challenges and inspiring collective action for sustainable living.
Human Rights — building the courage and skills to defend one’s own rights and those of others.
Active Citizenship — empowering individuals to co-create fair and democratic societies using artistic tools.
Intersectional Dialogue — creating safe and inclusive spaces for people of diverse identities and backgrounds to engage and collaborate.
Each practice is presented in a clear structure, including artistic techniques, complexity level, target audience, context, objectives, and the competencies it develops. The manual concludes with a glossary of artistic methods and an overview of the project’s context.
We invite you to enjoy this reading, which we hope will spark inspiration within you.
